Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has smiled to the bank with an additional 130,000 euros (approx. ₦65 million) after reaching 25 goals for Napoli this season.
The 24-year-old signed a lucrative five million euros per season contract with the Italian side in the summer of 2020, and he has been living up to expectations on the pitch.
Osimhen has been in sensational form this season, scoring 21 goals in just 23 Serie A games and four goals in five Champions League matches.
His latest goals – a brace of brilliant headers in Napoli's 4-0 victory over Torino on Sunday – took him to the 25-goal mark for the season and triggered a bonus payment from the club.
With the double, Osimhen becomes the most prolific Nigerian footballer in a single campaign in any of Europe's top five leagues.
