Osimhen played for just 42 minutes against the Reds but he had left a good impression and was given a standing ovation by the fans

Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has reacted to the injury he sustained against Liverpool and has said he does not think it’s as bad as first thought.

Osimhen was seen clutching his hamstring muscles against Liverpool and was substituted in the game. It came after his penalty miss which he described as the “first time in my career and it’s strange”.

The former Lille forward while responding to questions by Oma Akatugba said it’s football and injuries are normal but he’s looking to get back as soon as possible.

”I don’t think it’s that bad but this is football, you have to expect something like this. I just have to keep moving and work on my comeback.

”It’s football, it’s not new. I’ve been receiving positive messages. Thanks to those that actually cared and reached out to me immediately. For those that believe in me, I’ll have to come back and continue to give my best and give my all for the team and myself. And of course, the future is bright.”

Napoli hammered Liverpool 4-1 at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Wednesday.
