OGC Nice sporting director Roger Ricort has shared an update on Terem Moffi amid the uncertainty surrounding the Super Eagles striker’s future, Soccernet.ng reports.
Moffi is among the Nigerian stars expected to switch clubs this summer. He fell out with OGC Nice last November after he and his teammates were attacked by fans following a loss to Ligue 1 rivals Lorient. At the time, the club was enduring a terrible run of form.
Although club officials and other prominent French football figures spoke out to criticize and condemn the action, Moffi decided to leave and did not play for the club again.

Consequently, when the January transfer window opened, he left on a half-season loan to Porto to get back on the pitch.
After his move, OGC Nice co-president Maurice Cohen confirmed that the Nigerian striker would not play for them again, despite having one year left on his contract.
At Porto, even though he was under his former coach, Francesco Farioli, Moffi did not get regular minutes and eventually ended the campaign with two goals and one assist in 15 games. Nonetheless, he finished the season with his first-ever trophy.

In the end, Porto passed on the opportunity to sign him permanently.
But despite the confirmation that Moffi had fallen out with the club, the Super Eagles star returned to OGC Nice this week, prompting talk that there might be a reconciliation. However, his situation has now been clarified.
OGC Nice Chief Clarifies TMoffi's Situation

Following Moffi's return to Les Aiglons for pre-season, the club's sporting director spoke about the Nigerian's situation, confirming that he is still expected to leave this summer. He also used the opportunity to throw some jibes.
“He is on the list of players we want to leave. He will surely be transferred elsewhere,” Ricort said, per GFFN.
“We don’t necessarily respect the man, but we will respect the player. At the moment, he knows that he won’t be able to play for Nice anymore, either.
”I think that would show a lack of respect to our supporters, but so long as he is here, we will try and be proper with him and his agents. When he finds a club, we will shake hands and wish each other good luck.”

As it stands, it is difficult to pinpoint Moffi's next destination, as he has not been linked to any club recently.
Since he won't be participating in any pre-season games for Nice, he will be hoping to secure a transfer soon so he can start planning for the new season.
