German side Eintracht Frankfurt have entered the race to sign Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge in the summer transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.
Onyedika’s future has become uncertain, especially after entering the final year of his contract with the Belgian club earlier this month and reports have increasingly linked him with a move away, as Club Brugge are keen to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires next summer.
The Super Eagles midfielder joined Club Brugge in 2022 from Danish side Midtjylland and has since become a key figure in the team. He has helped the club secure multiple trophies, including two Belgian league titles, as well as the Belgian Cup and Belgian Super Cup.

According to reports, Frankfurt are the latest club to express interest in signing him this summer, adding to the growing list of suitors monitoring his situation.
Turkish champions Galatasaray have long been admirers of Onyedika and remain interested as they look to strengthen their squad further ahead of next season in a bid to maintain their dominance.
Onyedika’s future: Where could the Super Eagles midfielder end up?
With uncertainty surrounding Onyedika’s future this summer, questions have emerged over where he will be playing club football next season.
Eintracht Frankfurt present a strong potential destination, having now joined the race and expected to push for his signature ahead of the new campaign.

The German club are in need of midfield reinforcements, particularly following the departure of Mahmoud Dahoud, which has significantly weakened their squad and left a huge gap in midfield.
Despite not having European football next season, Frankfurt are determined to return to competing at the highest level and are focused on rebuilding their squad, with Onyedika among the players they are closely monitoring.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray remain firmly interested, just as they have been in previous transfer windows. The Turkish giants came close to signing him during the winter transfer window, but the move ultimately did not materialize although a deal could still be possible this summer.
While staying at Club Brugge remains an option, both the Super Eagles midfielder and the club appear increasingly likely to part ways in order to avoid a situation where he leaves on a free transfer next year.

Onyedika is valued at around €23 million, according to Transfermarkt, and a deal could be completed within that range, possibly marking the next big step in his career.
At this stage, Frankfurt may have the edge as a possible destination this summer, although Galatasaray remain strongly in contention for his signature.
