20-time English Premier League winners, Manchester United, now have another shot at securing the services of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, after he turned down a deal from the Saudi Pro League, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 26-year-old scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 games across all competitions for Galatasaray, sparking interest from several top clubs in the English top-flight, but his wages were deemed too high.

While many expected Osimhen to head to Saudi Arabia after Al-Hilal offered him a £34m yearly salary, the former VfL Wolfsburg attacker turned down the offer, remaining adamant on a move to the English Premier League.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport, Osimhen now seems to be holding out for a dream transfer to the Premier League, with Manchester United mentioned as a specific potential destination.

Chelsea could also be an option, although they've signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. Enzo Maresca's side are still in the market for another striker, most recently Hugo Ekitike.

However, Frankfurt's insistence on a €100m selling price has put the Blues off, and now they're reconsidering their stance on Victor Osimhen.

According to Metro UK, Manchester United are prepared to offer a first-team player in a ‘package deal’ to sign the 2023 CAF Player of the Year from Napoli.

Ruben Amorim's side were dreadful in front of goal last season, and are in need of an experienced goalscorer to lead the attack in the Premier League.

Osimhen is available for £63m, but United, in a bid to spend less, are keen to lower the fees by including another player in the deal.

While the Red Devils have declined Inter Milan's initial offer for Joshua Zirkzee, it is believed they want to include the Dutch striker in a potential swap deal with Napoli for Osimhen, as the Italian side are looking for another forward.

While a move to the English Premier League appeals to Victor Osimhen, the absence of European football could just be the tipping point that makes the lethal goalscorer change his mind about Manchester United.
