The Nigerian striker is set to spark a bidding war among English top-flight clubs when the transfer window opens again in six months
Tottenham Hotspur are the latest Premier League club linked with a big-money move for Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle all interested.
Soccernet, as per Calcio Napoli 24, had already reported that Napoli rejected an offer in the region of £84m from Newcastle in the January transfer window.
Arsenal are also considering making a move for the Nigerian after missing out on Dusan Vlahovic, while Liverpool consider him as a potential replacement for one of Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane.
Spurs are now the latest English club linked to the 23-year-old, with the LilyWhites ready to pay £70m for his services.
According to the Sun, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte wants to bolster his strikeforce in the summer, and he has identified Osimehn as one of his targets.
Osimhen had already been linked with Spurs in the past as a replacement for Harry Kane, who was linked with a move to Manchester City last summer.
But it remains to be seen if Napoli will be willing to let their most expensive buy leave after just two years in Naples.
Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille for £68m in 2020, and he still has three years left on his deal. Although he is yet to fully justify the fee, he is expected to be Napoli’s leading man when Lorenzo Insigne leaves this summer.
