The striker scored his eighth league goal of the season in Napoli’s clash against Cagliari but was taken off due to a nasty injury

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he would be available for Napoli’s next game despite suffering a head injury in their Serie A encounter against Cagliari on Sunday afternoon.

Osimhen scored for the third consecutive game to put Napoli ahead, but he was replaced by Dries Mertens in the 75th minute following a nasty collision, which required bandages to his head.

And with four games left to play in the Italian top-flight this season, it was feared that Osimhen would not be able to play a part in Napoli’s fight to finish in the top four.

However, the former Lille striker took to his Twitter account after Sunday’s game to assure fans he’s okay and ready to go for the next match.

grazie per avermi controllato, sto bene e già non vedo l'ora che arrivi la prossima partita… daremo tutto fino alla fine.💪🏽 https://t.co/hcLnU4hW7G

Osimhen’s availability is a huge boost for Napoli, who dropped out of the top four on Sunday after Cagliari scored in stoppage time to steal a point.

Gennaro Gattuso’s men are now two points behind AC Milan in fourth place and will need an in-form Osimhen for the last four games if they want to play Champions League football next season.
