The Nigerian striker is on an incredible run of form after he scored for the third consecutive league game to put Gennaro Gattuso’s men ahead against Gli Isolani
Victor Osimhen was yet again on target after he opened the scoring for Napoli in their Serie A clash against Cagliari at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
The Nigerian put Gli Azzuri ahead in the 13th minute after he was played through by Lorenzo Insigne. Osimhen got on the end of a pass from Insigne before beating Diego Godin with his strength and slotting past Alessio Cragno in Cagliari’s goal.
Osimhen thought he had a second after the break, but his effort was ruled out by VAR.

The goal was Osimhen’s third in three consecutive league games for Napoli- the third time he has managed the feat in his career.
Osimhen is now starting to justify the club and African record fee paid to sign him after his initial struggles early in the season.
The former Lile star now has six goals (five goals and an assist) contributions in his last seven league games for Gattuso’s side.
However, the afternoon ended on a disappointing note for Osimhen as he was taken off following a clash of heads.
His substitution appeared to affect Napoli as they could not increase their lead despite creating numerous chances.
The missed chances would later come back to haunt them as Cagliari scored in stoppage time to seal a point.
