Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has passed his medicals at Galatasaray ahead of the 2026/2027 pre-season campaign, despite persistent speculation regarding a possible exit, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian international returned to the club over the weekend following his summer holidays in Nigeria. By Monday, he was already at the club's training ground and was seen doing some light gym routines with his teammates.
Subsequently, on Tuesday, he alongside his returning teammates underwent medical examinations and were passed fit to return to action.
Buruk’s squad has already mapped out their pre-season, with a return to the pitch scheduled for July 17 against Umraniyespor.
This will be followed by two pre-season matches against Serie A sides Monza and Venezia, before they conclude their preparations with a fixture against La Liga side Villarreal.

Future Uncertain: Victor Osimhen Could Still Leave Galatasaray
As the summer transfer window progresses, Victor Osimhen’s future at Rams Park remains undecided, as he continues to be a top target for several European giants.
This summer, the 27-year-old marksman has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and other major clubs. However, no concrete move has materialized yet.

Nonetheless, for the time being, Galatasaray have no intention of parting ways with the attacker and remain firm in their resolve to keep him. Osimhen has also insisted that he is happy at the club.
Still, the transfer market remains very fluid, and the situation could change rapidly depending on developments at other clubs. Galatasaray may find it difficult to turn down an offer if his reported €150 million release clause is triggered.
Even Paris Saint-Germain, who are currently in need of a striker, could submit a bid and finalize a deal within a very short timeframe.

The centre-forward's transfer saga remains a situation to watch this summer, as a departure cannot be entirely ruled out. With the transfer window in the top five European leagues remaining open until September 1, much could still happen.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray will return to competitive action on August 16 with a fixture against newly-promoted side Corum in the Süper Lig.
