Victor Osimhen splashes out on luxury birthday celebration for longtime partner Stefanie Ladewig

Victor Osimhen has given fans a rare glimpse into his private life after organising an intimate birthday celebration for his longtime partner, Stefanie Kim Ladewig, in Istanbul, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Galatasaray and Super Eagles striker hosted Ladewig’s 27th birthday at a luxury hotel overlooking the Bosphorus, with close friends and partners of footballers joining the celebration.

The gathering offered a different picture of Osimhen, whose career has made him one of Nigeria’s most recognisable football stars but whose family life is usually kept away from the spotlight.

Victor Osimhen v Ladewig: From Wolfsburg to Istanbul

Ladewig’s connection with Victor Osimhen stretches back to the beginning of his European career.

According to Turkish outlet Odatv, the pair met during Osimhen’s time at VfL Wolfsburg, where Ladewig was reportedly a cheerleader at the German club. Osimhen joined Wolfsburg in January 2017 as a teenager and made 16 first-team appearances before moving to Charleroi, initially on loan, in 2018.

Their relationship has since continued through Osimhen’s moves to Charleroi, Lille, Napoli and Galatasaray. The couple also have a daughter, Hailey True, who was born in October 2022.

The birthday gathering brought together several familiar names from the football world. Mario Lemina’s wife, Fanny Neguesha, was among the guests, while Melina Demirbay, Dalia Özcan and Tanja Opoku were also reported to have attended.

Neguesha shared pictures from the celebration, giving followers a glimpse of the private event.

Osimhen and Ladewig also blew out the birthday candles together, with the striker reportedly referring to his longtime partner as ‘my queen'.

The couple have largely kept their relationship private despite Osimhen’s growing fame. Ladewig has previously spoken about her decision to protect her personal life from social media, where she believes what people see can be very different from reality.

Osimhen will not only be pleased with his partner but also with his early season form. The Super Eagles striker has notched six goals and two assists in only four league games for Galatasaray this season. He is, however, currently sidelined through injury and has missed the last two Galatasaray games.
