Gift Orban contract: Amedspor set to pay €3m if Super Eagles invitee scores 10 goals

Amedspor have placed a clear €3 million price tag on Gift Orban’s potential permanent transfer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Club president Nahit Eren has revealed that the deal with Hoffenheim becomes mandatory if the Nigerian striker scores 10 goals.

According to details shared by Turkish outlet FutbolArena, Amedspor are paying €500,000 to loan Orban and the forward will earn €1 million in salary. The agreement also contains a compulsory purchase clause that is activated once he reaches 10 goals.

That target is already within sight after Orban’s stunning start to the Turkish Super Lig season.

Orban tearing through Turkish Super Lig

Orban has scored seven goals and provided two assists in six league appearances for Amedspor, giving him nine goal contributions in 418 minutes. The former Lyon star has scored in four consecutive league matches and sits joint-top of the Super Lig scoring chart.

His scoring run began against Trabzonspor on August 31, when he struck in the 90th minute to seal a 2-1 victory. He then scored twice against Kasımpaşa on September 6 as Amedspor fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

Orban went one better against Başakşehir on September 13, scoring a hat-trick in Amedspor’s 5-0 win at Diyarbakır Stadyumu. The treble took him to six goals in his previous three league games.

He added another decisive performance against Beşiktaş on September 20, scoring in the 13th minute and setting up Dia Saba for Amedspor’s second goal in a 3-2 victory. His long-range strike opened the scoring before Furkan Soyalp restored Amedspor’s two-goal lead in the 59th minute.

The win sent newly promoted Amedspor to the top of the Super Lig with 13 points after six matches. At the same time, the Nigerian forward moved to within three goals of the clause that could turn his loan from Hoffenheim into a permanent €3 million transfer.
