Official: Crystal Palace complete move for Nigerian goalkeeper

English top-flight club Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Nigerian goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor, Soccernet.ng reports.

​Erhabor had been without a club since leaving Portsmouth at the end of last season. She joined Portsmouth in 2025 on a one-year deal, and although the club attempted to extend her deal at the end of her contract, she declined the offer.

​Erhabor was part of the Super Falcons squad that was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, thereby failing to qualify for the 2027 World Cup.

​Just weeks after that setback, reports emerged that the 21-year-old was closing in on a move to Swedish Damallsvenskan side AIK Stockholm.

However, that deal fell through, and she has now completed a transfer to Women's Super League club Crystal Palace.

​Comfort Erhabor: Details of Super Falcons Star’s Crystal Palace Move

​As an unattached player, Erhabor joins Crystal Palace as a free agent on a deadline-day deal, with the Women's Super League transfer window having closed yesterday.

​The Super Falcons star joins the club on a two-year contract and will look to play a key role in their upcoming campaign.

​This marks a significant step up for Erhabor after spending last season in the Women's Championship. Now, she has the chance to establish herself as the first-choice goalkeeper at a top-flight club.

Crystal Palace earned promotion to the WSL after finishing second in the second tier last season.
