West Ham are preparing to make a January move for former Flying Eagles and SV Zulte Waregem midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi, Soccernet.ng reports.
Reports suggest that the Hammers now face mounting competition from four other Premier League clubs, all monitoring the Nigerian talent ahead of the winter window.
The 22-year-old has quickly become one of the most talked-about young midfielders in Belgium. His standout performances this season have caught the attention of top-flight scouts, particularly West Ham who are currently leading the pack for the player now valued around €2 million (approx. ₦3,385,000,000).
West Ham circling Flying Eagles star
Per TEAMtalk, The Hammers have stepped up their midfield recruitment plans and identified Nnadi as a smart long-term addition.

After arriving at Zulte Waregem from Botev Plovdiv in January 2024, the former Flying Eagles star has grown into a key figure for the Belgian club.
Nnadi plays with the intensity of a much bigger midfielder. His midfield qualities fit well with West Ham’s desire to add dynamism in the engine room.

With several rivals now circling, the London club are keen to move early before his stock rises further.
Why West Ham are eyeing Tochukwu Nnadi
Nnadi’s emergence this season has drawn praise from scouts across Europe. His ability to recover possession, launch attacks from deep, and maintain a high defensive work rate has made him one of Waregem’s most consistent performers.
Since joining in early 2024, he has cemented his place as the heartbeat of the team, showing maturity well beyond his age.

West Ham see him as a player who can grow into a Premier League-ready midfielder especially with his ability to “win duels, break up play and drive his team forward with simple, progressive passes” just as TEAMtalk has described.
Further reports suggests that scouts describe him as “relentless”, “explosive in recovery”, and “Premier League-ready physically.”

His relatively affordable valuation also makes him an attractive option in a market where young midfielders are becoming increasingly expensive.
The coming weeks could determine whether the Hammers can win the race for one of the promising midfield prospects now that interest are building across England.
