Super Eagles and OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi will remain unavailable for several more days after the club extended his sick leave following last week’s training-ground attack by angry supporters, Soccernet.ng reports.
Terem Moffi, alongside teammate Jérémie Boga, remains shaken by the incident that left him both physically roughed and emotionally distressed.
The pair have not rejoined OGC Nice training amd will not return immediately to competitive action for the club, according to reports from RMC Sport via PLF.

Moffi and Boga were confronted on 7 December by a group of fans furious after Nice’s 3–1 defeat away at Lorient. The confrontation turned violent, leaving both players traumatised and prompting the club to grant several days of medical leave. While they were initially expected back earlier this week, fresh medical advice has pushed that return further.
Moffi, 26, who was first signed off until Sunday, has seen his leave extended by an additional seven days. Boga, who had been given an initial five-day rest period, will now be out for seven more. Their absence rules both players out of Thursday’s Europa League fixture against Braga as well as Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash with Lens.

Moffi's availability for the French Cup round of 32 clash against Saint-Étienne on December 21 is also in doubt, as the Super Eagles star could be called up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Winter exit looms for Super Eagles' Moffi as French clubs show interest
Inside the club, the mood is sombre. Both players remain deeply affected by their ordeal, with sources indicating that neither currently wishes to play for OGC Nice again.
Their exit in the January transfer window is increasingly viewed as the most realistic outcome.

Teammates have rallied around the duo. During Sunday’s 1–0 defeat to Angers, Nice players wore special shirts carrying the names of Moffi and Boga in a symbolic gesture of solidarity. But support has not changed the psychological toll the incident has taken.
According to Transfermarkt, Moffi is valued at €15 million and Boga at €10 million, figures that make them attractive options for several clubs monitoring the situation.

Ligue 1 insider Mohamed Toubache-Ter reports that multiple French top-flight teams have already signalled interest in Moffi ahead of the winter window.
The Nigerian striker’s relationship with the supporters had already been strained following Nice’s defeat to Lorient on 30 November, when cameras captured him laughing briefly with Lorient president Loïc Féry, whom he knows from his time at Les Merlus. That moment, taken badly by some fans, deepened frustration during a poor run of form for Francesco Farioli’s side.
With Moffi yet to decide on his future and Nice unwilling to rush his recovery, the situation remains fluid. What is clear, however, is that the damage caused by the confrontation has left lasting scars, and created an unexpected transfer saga ahead of January.
