Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi is on the wishlist of a number of English clubs including Hull City, Derby County, Oxford United and Huddersfield Town ahead of the January transfer window, Soccernet.ng understands.
According to a report by Football Insider, Durosinmi could be set for a move to England in January with at least four EFL and League One clubs preparing a move for the youngster.
The 22-year-old forward, currently with Viktoria Plzen in the Czech First League, has re-emerged as one of Europe’s more intriguing low-cost attacking options after a remarkable return from a career-threatening injury spell.
Rafiu Durosinmi missed 15 months across 2023 and 2024 after suffering a rare double ACL rupture in both knees. The setbacks stalled what had been a rapid rise from Box2Box FC in Lagos to Slovakia’s MFK Karvina and, eventually, Viktoria Plzen. But his response since returning to fitness last season has won him admirers across England’s second and third tiers.
Hull City and Derby County, both pushing toward the upper end of the Championship table, are expected to be active in January and regard Durosinmi as a feasible reinforcement.
Derby sit in resurgent form under John Eustace, climbing into the top half after five successive wins, while Hull continue their steady push in fifth place despite transfer-window turbulence and financial embargoes last summer.
Oxford United are also weighing their options, and League One Huddersfield Town are reportedly considering what would be an ambitious swoop for the six-foot-four forward. With Durosinmi entering the final six months of his contract, Plzen may be forced into a cut-price sale, with a bid of around £5.7 million (₦10.86 billion) expected to test their resolve.

European clubs at alert as Rafiu Durosinmi hits new heights
Despite the injuries that derailed his progress, Durosinmi has returned sharply and produced impressive numbers across domestic and European competition.
He has scored 11 goals in 24 matches this season, including efforts in both the Champions League and Europa League. His broader tally for Plzen stands at 33 goals and 10 assists in 80 appearances, bolstered by his powerful hold-up play and rapid mobility for a striker of his frame.
His form this campaign has already surpassed his 2024–25 output, while his 2023–24 contributions, averaging a goal involvement every 71 minutes, marked him as one of the Czech league’s brightest attacking talents. He previously came close to moves to Eintracht Frankfurt and Genk, but injuries halted both transfers.
Now fully fit and delivering consistently, Durosinmi is drawing renewed attention just months before the Africa Cup of Nations begins.
