It was a lacklustre performance from the Super Falcons of Nigeria in their final WAFCON 2024 group game against Algeria at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, Morocco.
Coach Justin Madugu opted to rotate his starting eleven as his side had already sealed qualification for the quarter finals before their final group game.

NFF President Gusau explains why Super Falcons are training in old kits at WAFCON 2024
1. Chiamaka Nnadozie 6.5/10: The Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper didn't have much to do as Algeria failed to play a shot on target.
2. Shukurat Oladipo 6.5/10: The AS Roma Women full-back enjoyed roaming forward on the right-hand side of the Nigerian defence as Algeria barely threatened.
3. Oluwatosin Demehin 6.5/10: The Galatasaray defender had another good shift in the centre of the Nigerian defence, covering the ground well to recover loose balls and helping the team play out from the back.

6. Christy Ucheibe 6.8/10: The Benfica defensive midfielder was paired alongside two attack-minded partners, meaning she had to stay back to shoulder the defensive responsibilities, and she did so with much vim.
7. Rasheedat Ajibade 6.5/10: The Super Falcons captain had another performance to forget. Ajibade huffed and puffed, but nothing concrete was produced.
8. Jennifer Echegini 6.7/10: The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder would've preferred to play in a more attacking position, but her efforts from deep were impressive.

11. Ifeoma Onumonu 6.2/10: The Montpellier striker just couldn't find the target on the night. She'll have to improve her finishing if she's to maintain a place in the Super Falcons squad. She made way for Esther Okoronkwo in the 54th minute.
Substitutes
Esther Okoronkwo 6.8/10: The AFC Toronto forward dazzled towards the end of the second half after replacing Onumonu. Her good work off the bench in recent games is becoming a weapon for the Super Falcons.
Folashade Ijamilusi and Rinsola Babajide both came off the bench in the 77th minute, but didn't offer anything tangible towards the end of the game.
