Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi has revealed that the most difficult time of his career was the period when he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury and the recovery period, Soccernet.ng reports.
An ACL injury is one of the worst that happens to most sportsmen due to the pain and the long recovery period. Many players get sidelined for up to a year and hardly remain the same after returning to action.

Unfortunately for Super Eagles striker Moffi, he joined the long list of players with ACL injuries last year midway into Nice's pre-season.
That automatically knocked him out of the rest of pre-season and for the most part of last season.
Moffi was out of action for 231 days and could only play five Ligue 1 games for Nice last season, all of which were off the bench.
The 26-year-old recently shared a bit about the experience. He stated that it was a very difficult time for him, but he was strong due to the support he had from family.
“Getting an ACL and a meniscus surgery has to be top of the list. Those were difficult times,” Moffi wrote on Instagram.
“Personally, I accepted it, took it day by day (somedays are frustrating). I had good people around me as well, and my faith helped me a lot.”
Terem Moffi has to bounce back next season
Now that Terem Moffi is back and fully fit, he will have to bounce back well next season.
Without Moffi, Nice's attack was very sharp and were the third-best defence in the league, behind PSG and Marseille.
Evann Guessand contributed 12 goals and seven assists, Gaetan Laborde added 11 goals and 5 assists, and Sofiane Diop put up six goals and four assists.
If Moffi fails to turn on the heat last season, he could earn a permanent place on Nice's bench. But if he returns to his previous best, he will surely regain his place in the starting eleven.
