Juventus join Everton, Man United, Real Betis in race for Super Eagles star with 7 Premier League goals

Super Eagles stars: Iheanacho, Ndidi, Iwobi

Juventus and Real Betis have joined the race to sign Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, with the Leicester City star drawing serious interest from several top European clubs ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Soccernet.ng reports.

Despite extending his contract with Leicester last summer, Ndidi’s future at the King Power Stadium remains uncertain following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

The Nigerian international has a reported £9 million release clause — triggered by relegation — that could see him snapped up for a cut-price fee in this summer’s transfer window.

Italian giants Juventus are believed to be keen on bolstering their midfield options and view Ndidi as a strong contender to add grit and experience alongside captain Manuel Locatelli and Brazil’s Arthur Melo.

Spanish side Real Betis are also reportedly targeting the 28-year-old as part of a planned midfield overhaul as they prepare for a fresh campaign in La Liga.

Ndidi enjoyed a solid individual season for Leicester, providing five assists in 28 league appearances. Known for his ball-winning ability and defensive awareness, he has also attracted interest from Premier League clubs including Manchester United and Everton.

According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, all these sides as well as Saudi Arabian clubs are actively monitoring Ndidi’s situation, attracted by his consistency, physicality, and versatility in midfield.

Over the years, Ndidi has amassed an impressive record, scoring seven goals and delivering 14 assists in 220 Premier League appearances. He also played a key role in Leicester’s 2021 FA Cup triumph and has two goals in 18 matches in that competition.

On the international stage, the former Genk midfielder has earned 65 caps for Nigeria, including an appearance at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

His experience at both club and national team levels has made him a sought-after target this summer.

With Leicester preparing for another Championship season, Ndidi is eager to return to top-flight football and prove his value at the highest level.

As the summer window heats up, a move to Serie A, La Liga, Saudi Arabia or a Premier League return remains firmly on the cards.
