Victor Osimhen transfer latest: Napoli say no to fresh bids from Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray

Napoli have turned down fresh bids from both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as speculation surrounding the Super Eagles forward intensifies ahead of a potential summer move, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen, who is enjoying a sensational loan spell at Galatasaray during the 2024-25 campaign — scoring 36 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances — has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe.

His performances played a central role in Galatasaray’s march to their 25th Super Lig title, but retaining his services has proven challenging.

According to Turkish media, Galatasaray tabled a €60 million bid to make Osimhen’s stay permanent.

However, Napoli swiftly rejected the proposal, deeming it insufficient for a player they value much higher. Despite the Istanbul club’s strong desire to keep the 25-year-old, there are growing concerns within their hierarchy about the financial risks of pursuing such a high-cost transfer.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe are also pushing to secure Osimhen’s signature. Turkish broadcaster TRT’s Barış Yurduseven revealed that Fenerbahçe received a “no bargaining” stance from Napoli but still attempted to structure a deal across four instalments.

That proposal was also rejected, with Napoli only potentially open to a two-part payment plan.

Yurduseven added that Osimhen’s representatives are demanding a salary package in the region of €15–20 million, matching offers reportedly made by other interested clubs.

“Apart from the Turkish clubs, the only sides currently in talks are some Saudi teams and Manchester United,” he said. “But even they are hesitant about the financial outlay.”

Despite Fenerbahçe’s failure to reach an agreement, insiders believe their role in the Osimhen transfer saga could still be crucial.

Juventus are keen to bring the Nigerian back to Serie A, where he previously starred for Napoli, but their move hinges on the sale of Serbian forward Dušan Vlahović.

The Turin club are actively working on offloading Vlahović in order to free up both wages and funds to meet Osimhen’s asking price. Among the clubs reportedly interested in the Serbian striker is none other than Fenerbahçe, who are believed to have made contact over a potential deal.

If Juventus succeed in selling Vlahović — potentially to Fenerbahçe — they are expected to redirect the proceeds towards an €85 million offer for Osimhen. The Italian giants are said to view the Nigerian as a proven Serie A performer with consistent goal-scoring ability, a trait they desperately need up front.

Vlahović, who managed just 15 goals and five assists in 40 appearances last season, has faced criticism for underwhelming displays, and Juventus are eager to refresh their attacking line.

Osimhen’s future remains up in the air, but what’s certain is that the race for his signature is far from over — with Turkish and Italian heavyweights circling, and Premier League interest lurking in the shadows.
