Fulham and Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Chuka Iwobi, has joined the likes of Lamine Yamal, Mohamed Salah and Cole Palmer on the list of players who have created the most chances this season, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 29-year-old is enjoying the best season of his career in terms of attacking numbers, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in all competitions for Marco Silva's side.

Iwobi's exploits has seen him rank amongst the top ten players who have created the most chances from open play across Europes top five leagues. The data sample was drawn from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and the French Ligue 1.

Liverpool's Mohammed Salah ranks first, creating 82 chances in the Premier League from open play. The Egyptian King also managed to convert 18 of those chances into assists.

Michael Olise's debut season saw him create 72 chances for Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich. Like Iwobi, Olise is enjoying his best-ever season, scoring 11 goals and providing 14 assists in the German top-flight.

While many claimed it was an underwhelming season for Chelsea's Cole Palmer, the Englishman created more chances from open play (69), than Barcelona duo, Raphinha (66) and Pedri (63).

Iwobi is 10th on the list with 58 chances created alongside Tottenham Hotspur's Dejan Kulusevski, below Enzo Fernandez (63), Lamine Yamal (59), and Bruno Fernandes (59).

Iwobi's numbers indicate how vital he is to Marco Silva's setup at Craven Cottage. While Fulham's attacking prowess doesn't quite stack up to the remainder of the teams of the other players on the list, it shows how underrated the ex-Arsenal midfielder is to have created that much chances with a side in the bottom half of the English Premier League.
