Record UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid, have joined other top European clubs in the race to sign Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 26-year-old forward has been firing on all fronts this season, scoring 29 goals and providing five assists in 34 games for Okan Buruk’s side in all competitions.

Osimhen’s form has seen him garner interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and now, Real Madrid.

As per Spanish outlet, Fichajes, Los Blancos are looking to capitalise on Osimhen’s strained relationship with the Napoli board.

Napoli’s owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is willing to listen to offers for the Galatasaray loanee. However, they will not let the attacker leave for anything less than 75 million euros, a figure the La Liga record Champions can easily pay.

The club are looking for a reliable goal-scorer who plays through the middle as the combination of Mbappe, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior has sometimes overloaded the left flank in games, and Osimhen fits the profile. His pace, movement, and ability to find the back of the net will make him a strong addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Real Madrid are in competition with other top clubs, mostly from the English Premier League, but their reputation and financial strength give them an advantage in securing the services of the 2023 CAF Player of the Year Award winner.
