Nigerian striker Muhamed Tijani has expressed a strong desire to remain at Plymouth Argyle beyond the end of his loan from Slavia Prague, saying he has found a second home at Home Park, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 24-year-old forward, who joined the Championship side on a season-long loan last summer, has endured a challenging campaign due to injury but remains hopeful of playing a key role in the club’s push for survival.

Despite making only one start and eight substitute appearances in the league, Tijani has made a valuable contribution — most notably scoring an 88th-minute winner in the 2-1 victory over promotion-chasing Sheffield United last weekend.

“Yes, I am interested,” Tijani said, as per Plymouth Herald, when asked if he would consider staying permanently. “I wouldn’t say it depends on staying up, but if we do stay in the Championship, I’m very interested.”

Plymouth hold an option to make the move permanent for a reported €1.5 million (£1.3m), and the striker’s physical presence and style of play are believed to complement head coach Miron Muslic’s tactical approach.

“This is one of my toughest seasons because I haven’t played much due to injury,” Tijani admitted. “It’s been frustrating, but I’ve overcome it and things are going better now. I just hope I can help the team stay up.”

Tijani, who stands at 6ft 5in, praised the close-knit culture at the club, highlighting the warm reception he’s received from teammates, coaches, and fans alike.

“Everyone here is like family — the players, the coaches, the manager. They make me feel like one of them. And the fans, too, they’ve been amazing,” he told Sky Sports following Saturday’s win.

He also revealed his appreciation for the recognition he’s received from teammates as he worked his way back to fitness.

“I didn’t even think anyone noticed, but they did. That means a lot to me,” he said.

With four crucial games remaining, starting away at Middlesbrough on Good Friday, Argyle will hope Tijani and strike partner Ryan Hardie — whom he called “a natural goalscorer” — can fire the team to safety.

“If we survive, that would be one of the club’s greatest achievements,” Tijani said.
