Nigerian forward Muhammed Tijani has expressed his joy in returning to action for Plymouth Argyle after a spell on the sidelines due to injury, Soccernet.ng reports.
The player, was signed by former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney on loan from Slavia Prague to bolster his attacking line during his tenure at Plymouth.
Alas, on his return to the squad after missing 22 matches for the EFL Championship side, the former 36 Lion player will not be working under Rooney.

Taking to his social media page, Tijani shared an inspirational message about his comeback: “Every setback is a setup for a comeback. Glad to be back on the pitch with the lads.”

Tijani’s return comes at a tough time for Plymouth Argyle, with Wayne Rooney recently being sacked following a string of poor results.

Tijani who has only made league four appearances with just a single assist will be hoping to still make an impact in the post-Rooney era, as his return adds depth to the club’s attacking options.
