German Bundesliga side, FC Augsburg, will not sign Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka, on a permanent deal when his loan spell ends, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old joined Die Fuggerstädter from Brentford due to lack of playing time under Thomas Frank with the Bees, as he barely got starts and was just featured as a fringe player.
However, since moving to Germany, he’s been a powerhouse for Jess Thorup’s side, starting 24 of the 25 Bundesliga games he’s played.

Augsburg are close to hitting the 40-point mark, which guarantees safety in the German top-flight as no team with that number of points have been relegated to the 2.Bundesliga. Onyeka’s side are currently 11th on the league table.

The Bees are currently 12th on the English Premier League table with 42 points from 31 games and are assured of safety from relegation.
