Ademola Lookman will be hoping to end a personal drought at the iconic San Siro this weekend as Atalanta travel to face AC Milan in a highly anticipated Serie A clash on Sunday evening, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigeria international has been prolific since joining Atalanta in 2022, scoring 36 Serie A goals and adding three more in the Coppa Italia.
Yet, despite netting at major venues across Italy — including the Maradona in Naples, the Olimpico in Rome, and the Allianz in Turin — he is yet to score at the historic Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, home of both Inter and AC Milan.

Lookman, who famously scored a hat-trick in the Europa League final in Dublin last year, has found the net against Milan before — just not at their own ground.

With interest growing from Juventus, Napoli, and top clubs in England and France in the Super Eagles star, Sunday’s fixture could be his final appearance at the Meazza in Atalanta colours.

The forward has scored 13 Serie A goals this season, making him the fourth-highest scorer in the league.
However, he hasn’t found the back of the net since his strike against Juventus on March 9, ending a run of regular contributions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
Lookman has featured in 26 of Atalanta’s 32 Serie A matches this term, starting 24 and playing a total of 1,872 minutes.
His last appearance came in Atalanta’s 2-0 home win over Bologna on April 13, a result that halted a three-match losing streak and lifted them to third in the table.

With six matches remaining, Atalanta are four points ahead of fifth-placed Bologna in the race for Champions League qualification.
Milan, meanwhile, are ninth on 51 points, five behind Lazio, who currently occupy the final spot for the Conference League qualifiers.
Atalanta defeated Milan 2-1 in December, with Lookman and Charles De Ketelaere on the scoresheet. Álvaro Morata replied for the Rossoneri.

As the season enters its decisive phase, Lookman and Atalanta will be looking for a crucial result at the San Siro.
For the Nigerian star, a goal on this grand stage would not only break a stadium jinx — it could also provide the perfect send-off, should this be his final act in Serie A.
