James Maddison and Awoniyi applaud Iheanacho’s performance for the foxes against Aston Villa

The past two triumphs for Leicester City both saw goals from Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

James Maddison and Taiwo Awoniyi hailed Kelechi Iheanacho’s outstanding performance for Leicester City against Aston Villa after the game.

On Saturday evening, Leicester City, who had twice trailed Emery’s team at Villa Park, overwhelmed the villains in a six-goal thriller.

After Emiliano Buendia struck the crossbar, Ollie Watkins gave the home team the lead, but James Maddison, who is now back in shape, swiftly responded with a goal to tie the score.

Following a shot from Ollie Watkins off of another recent Foxes addition, Harry Souttar, Kelechi Iheanacho again tied the score with a header, and Tete then manoeuvred around Emiliano Martinez to give Leicester the lead going into half-time.

Prior to the victory, Iheanacho posted a photo of himself cheering his goal on Instagram as the foxes won a crucial three points that propelled them to the thirteenth position in the English Premier League rankings.

English international Maddison responded to the Instagram post with: “Top draw sunshine.”

Awoniyi, a fellow countryman, also responded to the post.

He wrote, “Anytime, Anyday….snr man.”

The tests for Brendan Rodgers’ team will be tougher when they welcome Tottenham at the King Power Stadium the following Saturday and travel to Manchester United’s stronghold on February 19.
