After another sizzling and steady performance in the Premier League, the Everton midfielder has received the praises of a former Super Eagles coach

Sunday Oliseh has revealed how excited and proud he is to have Alex Iwobi as a compatriot.

Oliseh made the comments on Twitter after another strong performance from the former Arsenal midfielder against Liverpool.

Everton held local rivals Liverpool to a goalless draw in the Merseyside derby with Iwobi posting another solid display in the game, a feature that has now become a regular for him.

His form in the 2022/23 season has received consistent praises from Everton fans as he continues to enjoy a turnaround under Frank Lampard.

Iwobi has now grown accustomed to his new role and looks to be one of the most important players in the team in every game.

“Alex Iwobi’s Performance today especially, & in recent months, has me excited & makes me so proud as a compatriot. Vision, physical, clairvoyance, pace, aggressive & above all,he has found total belief in his capabilities. This is great for ‘Naija’ & Everton. Bravo Lampard and Alex!!,” Oliseh tweeted.

Iwobi played from start to finish in as part of a double pivot alongside Amadou Onana and impressed in the role with his great energy and vision.

The Everton #17 also responded Oliseh’s tweet with an appreciative “Thank you, Legend” comment.
