Gary Neville names Super Eagles star as a good fit for Manchester United

in EPL, News, NewsNow, Nigeria

The former England international believes there are a few players, including one of Nigeria's best, that could improve the current Red Devils squad

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has named Super Eagles Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as one of three players he thinks would be a perfect fit for Manchester United.

The Nigeria international arrived at the King Power in 2017, when Leicester City were still searching for an ideal replacement for Ngolo Kante.

Since his move to England, the 24-year-old has become an integral part of the midfield for Leicester City, forming a brick wall just in front of the Foxes' defence.

His excellent ball-winning skills and tackling ability were a key ingredient in Leicester's FA Cup triumph in May.

With the Red Devils lacking adequate quality in the defensive midfield area, fans clamoured for the 2008 Champions League winners to lure Ndidi to Old Trafford. However, the move never saw the light of day.

Nevertheless, Neville believes that the former Genk man would be an ideal addition to Solskjaer's squad.

“I think I’d be going for three Leicester players, to be honest with you. I would probably be going for Ndidi, Vardy,” Neville told Sport Bible.

The Nigerian midfielder will look to continue his impressive form for Leicester City when they lock horns with Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday.

This is a very good suggestion, Ndidi is a very good player {midfielder} and our defense will be very strong to break.

    Indidi isn’t what we need
We need new management and we don’t need any player who see himself as a star player
