Sampdoria have joined Genoa in the race to sign Super Eagles striker Simy Nwankwo this summer. Simy has had a record-breaking season in the Italian top-flight, and he's expected to leave Crotone when the season concludes.
Simy is currently the third-highest goalscorer in the Serie A this season, but Crotone are doomed for relegation with just five wins all season.
The Super Eagles star has 19 goals this season- the most a Nigerian has scored in any of Europe's top five leagues in a single season.
Simy also moved past Obafemi Martins as the highest scoring Nigerian in the Serie A, while he also became Crotone's all-time top scorer this season.
His exploits have not gone unnoticed, with Genoa and Sampdoria expected to make a move for him in the summer.
