The long-drawn saga is close to being finally resolved even though a deal still needs to be agreed between the two parties

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is edging closer towards a move to Napoli after having medicals with the Italian side.

I Partenopei has been leading the race to sign Osimhen all summer following an impressive campaign which saw him score 18 times in 38 appearances for Lille.

However, despite talks holding between the two parties, the potential transfer has not been without issues. It was earlier reported that the striker was not too keen on a move to Italy, and he’s waiting on an offer from English clubs.

And just last week, it was confirmed that Osimhen replaced his agent with William D’avilla, but his former agent has threatened to take legal action.

Soccernet also reported that two Premier League clubs made a fresh approach for the Nigerian international- although he dismissed it.

But after many weeks uncertainties, Osimhen is now close to joining Napoli. According to RMC via GFFN, the 21-year-old has undergone a medical at the club, and he passed.

Nonetheless, the move is not official yet as there are still some outstanding details that need to be resolved between both parties.
