Reports: Super Eagles Winger Signs A Deal With Ligue 1 Side

Following an impressive loan spell, Ligue 1 side, Nantes, have formally activated the €5m clause in Moses Simon contract, and the Nigeria international has signed a deal till 2024.

The 24-year-old who just had his second baby joined Les Canaries on a loan deal from Spanish side Levante last year, and the French side had the option of an outright buy provided he meets certain conditions including scoring ten goals.

While Simon only managed to score nine times and provided eight assists 30 games, Nantes have decided to pay the €5m required to sign the Super Eagles star according to GFFN.

Simon has been one of the best players under Christian Goucuurff this season, and that was evident when he was nominated for the club’s player of the season.

The Super Eagles star was well on course to break the 10-goal threshold but could not achieve that as the 2019/2020 season ended early in France due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

His form for Nantes has seen him attract interest from several clubs including Lyon and Newcastle. But despite signing a permanent deal, Simon can still leave Stade de la Beaujoire this summer, especially if a big-money offer comes in for him.
