Premier League side Newcastle are monitoring performances of Super Eagles winger Moses Simon and could make a move for him in the summer.
The Nigerian winger is currently on loan from Levante at Nantes, but his manager, Christian Gourcuff, revealed the club have the intention of signing him on a permanent deal.
However, their plans to extend his stay could be under threat with Newcastle interested in his services. According to Eurosport France journalist Manu Lonjon, the Magpies are monitoring the performances of the Super Eagles star but could be forced to pay 17m euros for his services.
Nantes have the option of buying the former Gent winger for just five million euros at the end of the season, but according to reports, his value has more than doubled following his performances this season.
The Nigeria international has scored eight times and provided the same number of assists in 25 appearances for the Canaries this season.
It is believed Lyon and Hertha Berlin are also interested in the services of the 24-year-old.
