The Super Eagles of Nigeria concluded their second friendly of the March international break on Tuesday, settling for a 2-2 draw against Jordan, Soccernet.ng reports.
It was a somewhat disappointing result for the team, especially following their 2-1 victory over Iran last Friday.
However, the squad featured several new faces who had never played together, so the players deserve some understanding as they build chemistry.
While there is a lingering sense that the team could have performed better across both fixtures, several individuals displayed flashes of genuine quality.

5. Akor Adams

The Sevilla striker started both matches for Nigeria. While he found the back of the net in the opener against Iran, he was largely kept quiet in the following game against Jordan.
Adams showed great industry and was full of running in both appearances; one feels that with better service against Jordan, he surely would have added to his tally. Nonetheless, he remains one of Nigeria’s standout performers from this break.
4. Bright Osayi-Samuel
The Birmingham City man enjoyed a productive international window, starting both fixtures. In the match against Iran, he was a constant threat down the flank, though he was caught out defensively on a few occasions.
Osayi-Samuel capped off his week by providing a pinpoint assist for Emmanuel Fernandez's goal against Jordan, marking a solid overall contribution to the team.
3. Emmanuel Fernandez
Handed his first call-up for Nigeria, Fernandez was thrown straight into the deep end due to injury woes within the squad.
While he struggled at times to adapt to the pace, he showed promising signs of his potential. His movement on the pitch suggests he is a top prospect who simply needs more time to settle.
He punctuated his debut window with a stunning goal against Jordan—a strike any world-class attacker would be proud of.
2. Ademola Lookman
The Atletico Madrid star was tasked with being the primary creator in the final third, and he executed the role admirably.
Lookman was a lively presence in both games, providing the assist for Akor Adams' goal against Iran and playing a pivotal role in the buildup to Moses Simon’s opener. Although he drifted in and out of the matches at times, his overall impact was undeniable.

While Moses Simon’s output for the national team can sometimes fluctuate, he was clearly a man on a mission during this international break.
The Paris FC winger scored in back-to-back games, delivering crucial goals during vital periods of both matches.

Both strikes were products of individual brilliance. Simon was eager to take on opponents and was Nigeria's most consistent threat and will be looking to carry this momentum into future Super Eagles assignments.
