The Foxes were given a reality check following a footballing lesson from Liverpool. The Reds brought their A-game as they moved thirteen points clear of their rivals with a 4-0 victory at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night.

A brace from Roberto Firmino, James Milner’s penalty and Trent Alexander Arnold perfect finish secured a comfortable win for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

For Leicester, they were given a harsh reality of the gulf in class between them and the top two sides. The Foxes have lost their last two games against Manchester City and Liverpool which showed the difference in quality.

However, despite the loss, Super Eagles star was singled out for praise by fans. The Nigeria international was the only shining light in the Foxes embarrassing loss last night.

Çağlar Söyüncü and Wilfred Ndidi deserve a lot of cred, despite the loss. They were great.

Ndidi – 8 ball recoveries, 83.7% passing, 6 tackles, 1 block, 3 clearances, 100% defensive aerials won.

Söyüncü – 12 ball recoveries, 92.5% passing, 2 tackles, 1 block, 6 clearances.

Wilfred Ndidi has been Leicester’s best midfielder by a fair margin by the way.

Take away Ndidi from this team and the only defender who's rating won't fall is Perreira

— Fire And Ice (@jeremy_liit) December 26, 2019

I probably have an Ndidi bias because i'm Nigerian. But how can a DM that good be so underrated?

— LFC9ja (@LFC_9ja) December 26, 2019

Wilfred Ndidi won 5 tackles in the first half vs. Liverpool, 4 more than any other player on the pitch.

Are you watching W. Ndidi @ManUtd. Matic replacement imminent

— Ser Penin Gretzky (@Payin_Mathers) December 26, 2019

If only Nigerians hype Ndidi like English media hype their players, dude would have been competing amongst the best in the world. Ndidi they play ball mehnnnnn #LEILIV

Ndidi and Soyuncu are fucking ballers.

— Rex Erection (@Zubairthedream) December 26, 2019

Embarrassing for Leicester, but I have mad respect for General Wilfred Ndidi! Huge presence in midfield. #LEILFC

Ndidi’s form this season has seen him linked with a move to Arsenal ahead of the January Transfer window. The former Genk star has featured 18 times in the league for Foxes, scoring two goals.
