He has not scored since he picked up an injury at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, but Odion Ighalo showed he still got his scoring boots as he scored the winner in Shanghai Shenhua victory over Dalian Yifang.

The 30-year-old who retired from international football after the biennial tournament in Egypt has not scored a goal for his club since May.

However, he ended his drought by finishing off Cao Yunding’s cross and that ensured Shanghai Shenhua took all the three points.

Former Atletico Madrid star, Yannick Carrasco put The Flower of Shanghai ahead before Giovanni Moreno restored parity for Dalian Yifang.

But Ighalo ensured Shanghai Shenhua will take the victory as he scored his seventh league goal of the season. The win puts Shanghai in 11th position with 30 points, while Dalian Yifang are eighth with 34 points.
