Sarah lloduba has told her team-mates to show some pride and stand up to the challenge ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Confluence Queen in Lokoja.
Defeat was tough to take for the Omoluabi Queens in the opening day of the season in far away Lafia.
Osun Babes bounced back instantly at home when they hosted Pelican Stars of Calabar, many thanks to Anthony Esther and Precious Edewor’s goals.
Iloduba is refusing to dwell on what might have been with another huge match on the horizon and although she acknowledged the ‘tough’ task at hand, the defender refused to shy away from the challenges ahead.
“We have another game coming up on Wednesday and we have to show some pride, stand up and find out what we’re all about,” she confirmed to soccernet.com.ng
Confluence Queen have been impressive so far this season, having garnered 4points from two games.
“If you look at it, it looks very tough, but you don’t become a footballer by shying away from things and everyone has to have that drive – or at least you hope they have.”
She continued: “This is our second away game and we want to try as much as possible to get points so as to sit on the top of the log, we will definitely give out utmost best to make Osun state and our teeming fans proud.
“We have to work as a team, play with a lot of determination and concentration to get maximum points, if we can’t score, then, they shouldn’t either.
“We are always battle ready for every game and God willing, we will come out victorious,” She concluded.
