Super Eagles stars Raphael Onyedika and Nathan Tella have both missed out on the Bundesliga’s top 10 most valuable African players, Soccernet.ng reports.
This development comes as the latest Transfermarkt market-value update reshuffled the pecking order in Germany.
Onyedika has suffered the sharper fall, with his valuation dropping from €23 million to €17m. The 25-year-old Nigeria international consequently slips to 11th among African players in Germany, despite completing his move from Club Brugge to Eintracht Frankfurt in August. At Frankfurt, Onyedika is teammates with Super Eagles target, Noah Atubolu.
The Super Eagles defensive midfielder signed a contract running until June 2031 after four trophy-laden seasons in Belgium, where he won two league titles, the Belgian Cup and Super Cup. He also made 24 Champions League appearances during his Brugge spell.

Onyedika has started all four of Frankfurt’s Bundesliga matches so far this season, playing every minute and registering 44 successful tackles.
Super Eagles: Tella outside top 10 as Saibari leads African rankings
Super Eagles winger Tella sits joint-12th at €15m, level with Algeria international Farès Chaïbi. The Bayer Leverkusen forward, who was born in England but represents Nigeria, has been at the German club since his €23.3m transfer from Southampton in August 2023.
Leverkusen rewarded Tella with a new contract in March 2026, extending his deal until June 2031 after he had become a versatile option capable of playing on either wing or as a false nine.
