Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has once again found himself in the spotlight away from football after he was spotted partying with Argentine model and television personality Belén Rodríguez in Milan, Soccernet.ng reports.

Okoye was filmed enjoying a night out with Rodríguez at El Porteño Prohibido in Milan on Sunday, September 20, as the Argentine celebrity celebrated her 42nd birthday.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Udinese goalkeeper and Rodríguez were among a group of people at the popular Milan venue, where they were seen chatting and dancing during the evening.

Videos from the night have since circulated on social media, drawing attention to Okoye's latest high-profile appearance just weeks after his much-publicised encounters with American rapper Cardi B in Italy. Watch the video here.

Maduka Okoye spotted with Belén Rodríguez in Milan

The latest footage shows Okoye enjoying the atmosphere at the Milan venue alongside Rodríguez and other guests.

Gazzetta reported that the pair appeared comfortable in each other's company during the evening, with their dancing and conversations quickly sparking speculation on social media.

However, no one has confirmed any romantic relationship between the Super Eagles goalkeeper and Rodríguez. Gazzetta also noted that the two do not currently follow each other on Instagram, while the videos from the night remain the only indication of any possible connection.

The timing of the sighting has nevertheless made it particularly interesting given Okoye's recent run of high-profile appearances away from football.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper became a major talking point in July after he was seen alongside Cardi B at Paris Fashion Week.

Okoye was filmed helping the Grammy-winning rapper to her seat at a Jean Paul Gaultier show, with the footage quickly going viral and sparking dating speculation. Days later, the pair were seen together again during a dinner in Venice.

Okoye and Cardi B's Italy connection

TMZ reported in July that Okoye and Cardi B had dinner together at Gio's restaurant at the St. Regis in Venice, where they were seated beside each other with other people at the table.

The report said there was no public display of affection, although the pair appeared comfortable in each other's company.

The episode became a major talking point around Okoye, who discussed his Paris Fashion Week experience in an interview with The Guardian.

While he did not directly confirm or deny the speculation surrounding Cardi B, the Nigerian goalkeeper described his first experience of high fashion as “fascinating” and said it had made him a much bigger fan of fashion.

Okoye also insisted that his activities away from football do not interfere with his responsibilities as a professional goalkeeper.

“What happens off the pitch is one thing, what happens on the pitch is another,” Okoye said.

“You have to separate the two. I never let these two worlds collide.”

His latest appearance with Rodríguez now gives the Nigerian international another high-profile social media moment, although there is no evidence to establish anything beyond their being together at the same celebration.

It is widely believed that the Argentine-Italian actress is currently single following her 2024 split from Italian presenter Stefano De Martino, so it's not out of the question to wonder if there are any romantic dealings between the goalkeeper and the model.

For Okoye, the attention comes during a period in which his profile has grown considerably beyond the football pitch, with his fashion interests and appearances alongside celebrities adding another dimension to his public image.

The former Watford goalkeeper kept 10 clean sheets in Serie A this season, but has failed to keep one this term, conceding 11 goals in five games.
