Super Eagles coach Éric Chelle faces the media this evening ahead of Friday’s 2027 AFCON qualifier against Madagascar, alongside captain Wilfred Ndidi expected to address the team’s preparations, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigeria will host Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo tomorrow as they begin their campaign in Group L of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.

Chelle’s side have been preparing in Uyo since the beginning of the week, with all 24 invited players taking part in today's training session.

Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was the only player missing from Tuesday’s session and joined the rest of the squad today.

The Super Eagles will also have to cope without Victor Osimhen, who was ruled out of the September qualifiers after suffering a muscle injury while playing for Galatasaray.

Taiwo Awoniyi was subsequently brought into the squad, while Chelle has several other attacking options including Akor Adams, Tolu Arokodare and first-time invitee George Ilenikhena.
