​Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah has completed a transfer to Libyan club Al Shomooa, Soccernet.ng reports.

​Talks had been ongoing since last week, when his agent, Mike Makaab, confirmed that negotiations with a Libyan club were underway. This update came amid reports linking the defender to reigning CAF Champions League holders Mamelodi Sundowns.

​With the move now finalized, Ndah will look to settle in over the coming days. Here are three key details to know about his transfer.

​What to Know About Olisa Ndah's Transfer to Al Shomooa

​Ndah spent just six months with his previous club, Stellenbosch, before choosing not to sign an extension when his contract expired at the end of last season.

​He has now penned a two-year deal that keeps him at Al Shomooa until early 2028, providing him with the stability to regain form and consistency on the pitch.

​Reports also indicate that Ndah will earn an annual salary between $300,000 and $500,000—a significant financial upgrade for the defender.

​While Al Shomooa has traditionally been a mid-table side, the club is actively pushing to break into the upper echelon of Libyan football. Experienced international players like Ndah are expected to play a central role in that ambition.

​The 28-year-old center-back has already been unveiled to the fans and is set to feature when the new Libyan Premier League season kicks off.

A New Chapter After Five Years in South Africa

Ndah arrived in South Africa in 2021 after leaving NPFL side Akwa United for Orlando Pirates.

He went on to establish himself as an important defender for the Buccaneers, making 81 competitive appearances and winning four trophies during his time at the club. His spell in Soweto also helped him earn recognition with the Super Eagles.

However, injuries disrupted the latter part of his Pirates career. A tibia and fibula fracture kept him out for around over four months days, while competition from younger defenders eventually pushed him down the pecking order.

He left Pirates by mutual consent in January before joining Stellenbosch on an 18-month deal. But another setback followed.

A delay in obtaining his work permit restricted him to just seven appearances before his Stellenbosch contract expired at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. Al Shomooa now gives Ndah the opportunity to put that difficult period behind him.
