Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are set to make a fresh move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as they look to bring him in as a possible replacement for Karim Benzema, Soccernet.ng reports.
Al Hilal have been long-term admirers of the Nigerian forward and made several attempts to sign him in prvious transfer windows. Osimhen rejected a huge offer from the Saudi giants last summer before eventually joining Galatasaray on a permanent deal.
However, Al Hilal have now revived their interest and are ready to step up their pursuit before the summer transfer window closes. The Saudi club have already seen a €130 million offer rejected by Galatasaray.
They are now expected to intensify their efforts in the coming days as they look to make the former Napoli star their first choice striker for the new season.

The 27-year-old has continued to prove his value since moving to Galatasaray, scoring 61 goals in 75 appearances across all competitions. He also made a strong start to the 2026/27 campaign, scoring twice in Galatasaray’s opening league game against Corum to help his side secure a point.
Osimhen has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain at Galatasaray and help the club compete for more trophies. Galatasaray are also keen to keep their star striker, although growing interest from several clubs could soften their stance.
Al Hilal eye Osimhen as Benzema replacement
According to reports from Sport via Forza Cimbom, Al Hilal are ready to intensify their efforts to sign Osimhen before the transfer window closes.
Their recent interest is closely linked to Benzema’s expected departure from the club. The former Real Madrid striker is reportedly set to finalise his exit in the coming days, despite only joining Al Hilal during the winter transfer window after leaving Al Ittihad.

His departure would leave Al Hilal with a vacant spot in their attack and increase the need for a new centre forward. Another option in the position Darwin Nunez, is also closing in on a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor.
Osimhen would therefore emerge as an obvious target given his goalscoring record and experience at the highest level.
Al Hilal have the financial strength to meet Galatasaray’s valuation and would also be able to match the Nigerian’s salary demands.

However, they are not the only club monitoring Osimhen’s situation. Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have all been linked with the striker, while Arsenal recently reopened talks over a possible move.
If the Saudi giants succeed in convincing Galatasaray to change their stance, then the Nigerian striker could be set for another major move and the next chapter of his career in the Middle East.
