Spanish champions Barcelona have officially completed the signing of Nigeria’s fufu man Karim Adeyemi from German side Borussia Dortmund, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the Catalan club until 2031, bringing his four-year stay in Germany to an end.
Adeyemi joined Borussia Dortmund from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg in 2022 and went on to make 146 appearances for the Bundesliga club, scoring 36 goals. He was also part of the Dortmund team that reached the UEFA Champions League final during the 2023-24 season.
Barcelona had been closing in on the deal earlier this month and the deal has now been officially finalized by all parties.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona reached an agreement to sign Adeyemi in a deal worth €29 million. The package includes a fixed fee of €22 million, with a further €7 million in performance-related add-ons.
Borussia Dortmund will also retain a sell-on clause, meaning they will receive a percentage of any future transfer fee if Barcelona decide to sell the forward.
The move brings an end to Adeyemi's successful spell in Germany as he prepares to begin a new chapter in Spain.

Karim Adeyemi: Forward of Nigeria descent begins new adventure
After four years in the Bundesliga, Adeyemi will now continue his career in La Liga, becoming Barcelona's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Anthony Gordon ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Although eligible to represent Nigeria through his family heritage, Adeyemi chose to play for Germany at international level and has since established himself with the German national team.
The forward is expected to add pace and versatility to Hansi Flick's attack. His ability to play across the front line gives Barcelona another dangerous option as they prepare for the new campaign.

The Nigeria fufu man joins an attacking unit that already features Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torres, strengthening Barcelona's squad as they look to defend their La Liga title and mount another serious challenge for the UEFA Champions League.
With the transfer now complete, Adeyemi becomes the latest player of Nigerian descent to wear the famous Barcelona colours as he begins an exciting new stage of his career.
