One-time FA Cup winners Southampton have paid tribute to Nigerian winger Victor Udoh, following the passing of the former Royal Antwerp attacker, Soccernet.ng reports.
Udoh joined the Saints in February 2025 from Royal Antwerp but didn't make a senior appearance for them before moving to Czech side SK Dynamo Ceske Budejovice.
The 21-year-old was found dead in his apartment at Abuja this morning as per Belgian outlet Voetbal Nieuwsblad. The actual cause of the death is currently unknown, but the situation regarding the attacker's demise is very suspicious..

Southampton pay tribute to Victor Udoh
The EFL Championship side took to their social media page to pen their condolences to the ex-Saint.
“We are devastated by the tragic passing of former player Victor Udoh at the age of 21,” Southampton posted on X.
“The thoughts of everyone at the club go out to Victor's loved ones at this extremely difficult time.”

“With great dismay, RAFC has learned of the passing of former player Victor Udoh,” Royal Antwerp posted.
“Our thoughts are with Victor's family, friends, and loved ones. We wish them much strength, support, and warmth during this particularly difficult time.”
Udoh began his pro career with Royal Antwerp three years ago, joining from Abuja-based club Hypebuzz.
His former teammate, Pierre Dwomoh (21), shared the sad news of Udoh's passing on Instagram.
“I woke up on Tuesday morning. First, you think something like this happens in your sleep, until you read the message thoroughly and realise: this sh*t is real. Some of Victor’s relatives I heard, confirmed his passing.”
Dwomoh and Udoh had repeated contact this month. “Victor, like me, was looking for a new club this summer. A few days ago, I asked about his holiday plans. I went to Morocco and linked that trip to a training camp that I invited him to, but he told me that he was working hard in Nigeria.”

Udoh was prolific for Antwerp's reserve team, scoring 12 goals in 21 games. Handed his first-team debut at 19, and he went on to make 28 appearances in Belgium before Southampton signed him.
