Fulham head coach Marco Silva has issued an update on the recovery of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi ahead of their league game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 30-year-old held his thigh for two minutes during the first half at the Gtech Community Stadium a month ago, and had to be replaced. After Fulham's goalless draw against Brentford, coach Marco Silva confirmed the former Arsenal man had pulled his hamstring.
A week ago, Iwobi revealed he'd been doing some work in the gym to get on the pitch as soon as possible, although he also revealed the mental toll of the injury was tough to deal with.

“Right now, as it stands, I have got a hamstring injury, so I'm going to keep on the move and get my steps in. It's unfortunate to get a hamstring injury.
“I appreciate the support and the love that everyone's showing me, and everyone checking on me.
“As of now, I don't know how bad it is. I'm able to walk, though I've got a limp, so that's a positive.
“I've got a scan soon. So by the time this video is out, I would have had my results, so I'm praying for a speedy recovery,” the former Everton man said.

Iwobi back in contention for Fulham's weekend game
Fulham's coach, Marco Silva, has revealed that there's a possibility of Iwobi travelling with the rest of his teammates to the Molineux for the games against Wolves.
“Alex is back in contention for the game. Last week, he had some training sessions with us,” the Portuguese manager said, as per Fulham's official website.
“This week, throughout the week, he’s been working with us. It’s been a good week for him.
“He’s a big player for us, definitely,” the Ex-Watford coach continued.
“He’s a player who’s very versatile, who can play in many different positions. He’s also a player that can add extra quality in the decision making.
“In all aspects of the game he’s a key player for us and he’s shown it again this season. It’s a boost. Definitely, it’s a boost.”

A win against Wolves would put Fulham just outside of the top seven places on the English Premier League table, rekindling hopes of playing in a European competition next season.
Wolves, meanwhile, have lost their last three games in front of their fans, allowing the Cottagers to go all out against Rob Edwards' men, who will play in the EFL Championship next term.
