Michael Carrick's Reds steadied themselves as time went on, but it was a moment of individual brilliance from Bruno Fernandes in the 42nd minute.

The Portuguese midfielder went past three Chelsea players before putting in a low ball into the box for Matheus Cunha to tap home, taking Bruno's assists to 18, two off the all-time Premier League record.
