Victor Osimhen may be scoring goals again for Galatasaray, but not everyone believes the Nigerian striker is fully happy, Soccernet.ng reports.
Questions were raised after his reaction in the recent match against Çaykur Rizespor. Osimhen scored Galatasaray’s third and final goal with a brilliant finish from a tight angle. Normally, he celebrates wildly. This time, his reaction was quiet and short, with only a small smile as teammates gathered around him.

That moment quickly sparked talk online. Some fans suggested the forward might be unhappy because of unpaid wages. Others pointed to his body language as proof that something was wrong behind the scenes.
But reports from Turkey now say the issue has nothing to do with money.

Victor Osimhen: Missed passes, not payments
According to Milliyet via NTVSpor, Osimhen’s real concern is about what happens during games, especially the service he receives from teammates.
Club sources explained that the striker is frustrated when he does not get the passes he expects in dangerous positions.
They said: “Osimhen wants to score in every match and be useful to the team. Sometimes he doesn't receive the passes he wants, and this negatively affects him on the field. Osimhen's ambition and desire to score goals don't negatively impact the team. On the contrary, his teammates are positively influenced by his ambition.”
The same report strongly denied any financial problems, insisting the former Napoli forward is being paid properly and has no issues with the club over money.
The reaction fits Osimhen’s personality. He is known for his hunger for goals, a trait that helped him become top scorer in Italy with Napoli in 2023 and later lead Galatasaray to a league and cup double in 2025.
This season, however, the numbers are lower. He has nine league goals in 15 matches and is behind Paul Onuachu of Trabzonspor and Eldor Shomurodov of Istanbul Basaksehir, who both have 15.
Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi and Fenerbahçe's Talisca are also ahead.
Osimhen missed several games while away with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, but he will now be keen to close the gap.
His next chance comes on Friday when Galatasaray host Eyuspor, and few doubt he will be hungry for another goal.
