Turkish Super Lig giants Trabzonspor have submitted an official offer to Lazio for Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Soccernet.ng understands.
The former Hatayspor man, who only recently returned to Rome after representing Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, is once again being linked with a move back to Turkey.
Lazio are also struggling for consistency, a reality pinpointed by their most recent result, a 3-0 home defeat to Cesc Fabregas’ Como, and individual player situations are now coming under closer scrutiny.

Dele-Bashiru’s own story at Lazio has been a mixed one. He initially joined the club on a season-long loan which was made permanent after he impressed, but he has since struggled to fully convince Maurizio Sarri, who has used him only intermittently in the starting lineup.
His season was further interrupted in December when he left to join Nigeria for AFCON, where he registered one assist in three appearances as the Super Eagles reached the semi-finals before settling for a bronze medal finish.
Now back in Rome, he faces a crucial period that could shape the next stage of his career.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru: Trabzonspor’s move and Premier League thoughts
As reported by Corriere dello Sport via LazioNews, Dele-Bashiru has received an official offer from Trabzonspor.
The Turkish club’s interest is described as concrete and their proposal financially attractive. The midfielder, though, is reportedly not entirely convinced about a return to a league he already knows and which, at the moment, is not his top priority.

Despite having previously enjoyed a strong spell in Turkey with Hatayspor, the player is understood to be looking more closely at the Premier League. Last week, leads emerged pointing to Nottingham Forest, although for now there are no official offers, only exploratory contacts and indirect inquiries. The situation, therefore, remains unresolved.
A return to England is said to be more tempting for Dele-Bashiru than a return to Turkey, even though his elder brother, Tom Dele-Bashiru, currently plays for Genclerbirligi.

Lazio, on their part, could be willing to sanction the departure of Dele-Bashiru for the right fee and part of a wider strategic reflection on midfield balance and squad planning. The Biancocelesti are monitoring the international market and are ready to evaluate any offers that align with both their financial expectations and sporting project.
However, Dele-Bashiru himself is in no rush to make a decision. He prefers to wait for the right opportunity, convinced that new scenarios, particularly from England, could open up in the coming weeks.
