Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has shared an update on the future of Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu amid rumours linking the striker with a potential exit from the Turkish club before the transfer window closes, Soccernet.ng reports.
Onuachu has been heavily linked with a move away from Trabzonspor throughout the summer following an impressive 2025-26 campaign with the club.
The Super Eagles striker scored 26 goals across all competitions, including 22 in the league, as he jointly won the Golden Boot alongside İstanbul Başakşehir's Eldor Shomurodov.

Despite only joining Trabzonspor on a permanent deal from English club Southampton last summer, Onuachu has continued to attract interest from other clubs. The Nigerian striker had previously enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Turkish side before completing his permanent move.
While the transfer window has closed in most parts of Europe, it remains open in the Saudi Pro League, leading to increased speculation over a potential exit for the 32-year-old.

The Super Eagles striker has endured a difficult start to the new season and has struggled to pick up from where he left off last term. Onuachu ended the previous campaign on a high, scoring twice in Trabzonspor's final game of the season as they defeated Konyaspor 2-1 in the Turkish Cup final.

However, he is now five games into the new season across all competitions without a goal contribution, leading to concerns that the ongoing transfer speculation surrounding his future may have affected him.
Speaking in an interview, Trabzonspor president Doğan ruled out the possibility of Onuachu leaving the club this summer, insisting that the striker's departure is not currently under consideration.

With Onuachu now expected to remain at Trabzonspor, his immediate focus will be on ending his goal drought and rediscovering the form that made him one of the standout players in the Turkish league last season.
Trabzonspor will return to action on Sunday when they face Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Super Lig as they look to return to winning ways following an inconsistent start to the season.
