Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has warned that the Super Eagles will put in their maximum effort against DR Congo when both teams lock horns in the final of the CAF World Cup playoffs on Sunday evening.
After failing to top their World Cup qualifiers group, the Super Eagles have an opportunity to redeem themselves in the World Cup playoffs, which they sneaked into by virtue of being one of the best second-placed teams in the qualifiers proper.
The Super Eagles already did one-third of the job by defeating Gabon 4-1 on Thursday. However, they now face a sterner test against a younger and better DR Congo team.
The Leopards already showed a bit of what they can do against Cameroon, one of the best teams on the continent.
So, even though Nigeria have some quality players like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, and Wilfred Ndidi, Sébastien Desabre's lads could still hurt them.

However, Super Eagles midfielder Onyeka, who is on the books of Premier League club Brentford, is positive that Nigeria will emerge victorious.

Frank Onyeka expects a tough fight from DR Congo, but he has assured fans that the Super Eagles will put in their all to ensure they secure the win.
“We know how important this game is, so we'll go all in and by God's grace, we'll come out with a victory and Nigerians will be happy,” Onyeka told Flashscore.
