Victor Osimhen has vowed to maintain his red-hot form for both Galatasaray and Nigeria as he looks to fire on multiple fronts in the coming weeks, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian striker has started the 2025–26 season on a blistering note, netting nine goals across all competitions for club and country.

His goals have kept Galatasaray unbeaten in the Turkish Super Lig and helped Nigeria clinch a vital World Cup playoff spot after a commanding 4–0 win over Benin Republic earlier this month.

That victory set up a semi-final clash with Gabon in mid-November as the Super Eagles seek to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in North America. For Osimhen, who missed the 2022 edition in Qatar, the mission is personal.

“We have many goals as a club,” Osimhen said as per Sporx.

“We need to work hard and fight for these goals. I want to be in the World Cup with my country. I am giving my everything there too. My focus is here now. Next month is the World Cup playoffs. I will help my teammates with my goals, assists and everything.”

Next for Victor Osimhen: Galatasaray vs Trabzonspor and Ajax

Before Nigeria’s showdown with Gabon, Osimhen’s attention turns to Galatasaray’s top-of-the-table duel with Trabzonspor.

The champions sit five points clear of their closest rivals, but Trabzonspor boast one of the league’s most in-form forwards, Paul Onuachu, another Nigerian striker, with seven goals in nine games.

The encounter in Istanbul is expected to be fierce, with both clubs eyeing early-season dominance. Galatasaray have been formidable at home, and Osimhen’s energy and finishing will be central to their hopes of extending that advantage.

A few days later, the Turkish giants will travel to Amsterdam to face Ajax in the Champions League. The Dutch side defeated Galatasaray 2–1 in the Europa League earlier this year, a result Osimhen is determined to avenge.

“I have a lot of respect for Trabzonspor and Ajax,” Osimhen said.

“They have great players. They're great teams. But as I've said before, we have the quality to beat any team in the world. We're ready for them. We won't play easy matches. We'll give everything we have to win.”

Osimhen is already Nigeria’s all-time top scorer in both the Turkish Super Lig (43 goals) and the Champions League (12 goals).
